How do emulators work?
Emulators allow you to play incompatible games by imitating the source operating system (and any hardware necessary). This is why emulators can sometimes harm the the performance of you device or computer. Emulators are having to create everything the software needs to function, with software. This include any hardware that might have been needed for the game as well. It can take the emulator a lot of resources to translate everyone on the fly into the right instructions. Unfortunately, the result is that some games or apps will “lag” while everything works to catch up.
We recommend that you consult the system requirements for the emulator always before proceeding.
