Just like many new features introduced in iOS 12, Siri got an add-on called Shortcuts that gives different suggestions to iPhone owners on their lock screen. Are you annoyed by Siri suggestions and want to disable them altogether? Here’s how you can do so.
What are Siri Suggestions?
Siri Suggestions debuted in iOS 9 as a way to make iPhones even cooler than ever.
Basically, Siri suggestions are based on the task you perform regularly on your iPhone. Based on that, Siri recommends certain actions at a supposedly right time to iPhone owners, such as confirming an appointment, or sending an email. Siri also suggests websites. You can actually customize the suggestions Siri provides as well.
For some, this feature might look amazing, but some iPhone owners do not like it. Some people want their devices to act like phones, not personal assistants. They do not want the extra notifications, or to have to deal with the extra suggestions. Luckily, it is easy to disable these Siri suggestions easily.
How to Remove/Disable Siri Suggestions on iPhone in iOS 12
So if Siri suggestions are meaningless to you, then its better to disable them by following the steps below:
- Open “Settings” app on your iPhone.
- Go to “Siri & Search”.
- Scroll down there and look for “Suggestions on Lock Screen” options.
